ParentSquare and ClassDojo notifications overwhelming?
School apps are meant to help, but between push alerts, emails and digests, the same message can reach you three times. Here's how to cut the noise without missing anything.
Step 1: Pick one delivery method in the app
Most school communication apps let each parent choose how they're notified — instant, a daily digest, email or push. Open the app's notification or account settings and choose email for everything you can. One channel is easier to manage than three.
Settings vary by school and app version, so if you can't find an option, ask your school office what they've turned on.
Step 2: Send those emails to one place
Once school messages arrive as email, set up an auto-forward rule so they all go to one address. See our guides for Gmail and Outlook.
Step 3: Let the dates and to-dos come to you
Tangle Bell reads what you forward, sorts it by kid, adds dates to your family calendar and sends one short checklist — so you can stop checking each app.
See it with a real school email
Watch how a messy school email turns into a to-do, a calendar date and a note under the right kid.
